Please answer under or inside the reply, but not at top.  You never
mentioned exo-desktop-item-edit in your post, so how should we know?
And you told that the GUI you use doesn't let you rename the application
(your quote just over), but exo-desktop-item-edit does let you rename
it.  This is why I replied actually...
