You're right to say that Thunar is a nice piece of work..
but it is certainly not done yet..
There needs some work to be done...

And as long as the open with option don't work.. I'm not fully satisfied 
yet...
If you have CHM file you can't double-click on them to open them nor can 
you select them right click and choose open with .. the choose an 
application to open them...
