hello
I am a big fan of the xfce desktop and have always wanted to contribute
somehow to the open source community but never really knew where to
begin. When I saw screen shots of the mockups for thunar I decided I
wanted to help out, it has potential to be the best file manager around
imho.

Anyway I just thought I would introduce myself and see if there were any
specific things I could start working on...

A little background I suppose would be in order,
I am a college student at the university of southern california
(computer science), and I have been using linux for a couple years now
(mostly gentoo).
I have a good amount of experience in c++ and various other languages,
and have some basic familiarity with gtk and gdk.

As of right now I am in school, so can't devote my entire life to this
project, but I will contribute as much as I can, when summer comes
around I will have MUCH more time :)

for now I guess I will just follow along on the mailing list and toss
ideas around with you guys, unless there is something specific that I
can work on.

sorry for the lengthy (and non productive :)) post, I just thought I
should introduce myself.
