Hi,
I've just subscribed to this mailing list, because I find this Thunar project
interesting. I'm a PhD student at Versailles University, in France. I'm not a
great programmer, but I have some basic experience.
I looked into the mailing list archive before posting, but I may have missed
some posts, so it's possible that I talk about some suggestions already
discussed...
First, about the location bar. I find it could be a good idea if it had auto-
completion. I already coded some kind of support for this, but I was wondering
how to present it : should I send a patch for the current Thunar snapshot, or
just provide a sample code for other members to incorporate and test it ?
A second point is about spatial behavior. Maybe the discussion is over, or what
I think of it has already be explained many told, but I didn't find it into the
archives, so here is my point : I agree that having too many windows is the
main problem here, but a simple way to circumvent this is to provide a
way to both open a directory and close its parent in just one action, like
double middle click.
Ben,
