Instead of a plugin VFS, I'd like to see this sort of thing pushed out to
fuse or lufs, or some similar projects. That way, it'll be available to all
applications, and not just Thunar and some Gnome-VFS enabled apps. IMO,
 
With user-mounts for ftp and such, and filemanager cooperation, I think it might
give a much better user experience than a vfs with plugins. 

Then again, I'm not so familiar with the technologies behind it, so this might
be a very bad idea. We'll see.
