I'd suggest waiting a bit before doing any translation work.  Strings
will likely change quite a bit, and it seems silly to me to play
catch-up since 1.0 is at best 4-6 months away.

In any case, gettext doesn't appear to be enabled in Thunar yet, though
translatable strings are marked as such.  Up to Benny (or anyone else)
if he wants to add the required bits to configure.ac.
