[Thunar-dev] ctrl-L can "/" can both be used

Agreed.

Ok, I'll repeat here what I said on your bug report because not everyone 
will read that.

I really don't expect people to do this very often, switch between text 
entry and buttons that is, so I don't believe there should be a UI item 
in such a prominent place.

Typing paths does not sound like something the interface of a 
filemanager should be primarily designed for. At least not a basic 
easy-to-use point-and-click filemanager that we are aiming for with Thunar.
