            Bug ID: 14250
Summary: DiskPerf I/O widget is not accurate
    Classification: Panel Plugins
           Product: Xfce4-diskperf-plugin
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: Medium
         Component: General
          Assignee: goodies-dev at xfce.org
          Reporter: phil at pricom.com.au
  Target Milestone: ---

People,

For the last few versions of Fedora (I am on F26 x86_64) now) I have found the
Disk I/O widget has not been accurate - the indicator is always much lower than
it should be. I finally got around to doing a comparison today and ran my
Recoll DB update which always causes the disk to thrash - with "iostat -d -x
--human 5" I can see that this is case - %util is always jammed at near 100%
for /dev/sda - but the graphical XFCE disk indicator for the same disk is at
about 25% most of the time.

What is the difference between the two indicators? Is there a bug?

Thanks,

Phil.
