I'm also seeing the warning message; the package I have is:

fc25 xfce4-weather-plugin-0.8.8-2.fc25.x86_64

but your detail page shows 0.8.9 - so perhaps the problem is that 0.8.9 hasn't
made it to f25 yet?

(Manchester, UK weather; currently rather wet and blowy - but hey that's not
the weather applets fault...)
