Any background color modification is takaen into acount (line "arrière plan).
Hier color sets to black and stay effectively grey in the panel.
color 3 can not be changed.

I'm using GTK+ theme "Ambiance-Blackout-Orange"
Ubuntu 15.10 & 16.04 64b
session gnome flashback+cairo-dock+xfce panel
