Josh, that looks very nice now, thanks for the patch. The only thing I changed
is putting a do while(0) around the multi-line macro, you can read more about
that e.g. on
http://www.commonsense4commonpeople.net/2008/11/tips-on-writing-c-macros.html.
It wouldn't matter in the three cases used here, but if someone else used it in
an if block some day, that might cause surprises.
