Bug ID: 12011
Summary: Suspend the break
Classification: Panel Plugins
Product: Xfce4-time-out-plugin
Version: unspecified
Hardware: Other
OS: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: enhancement
Priority: Medium
Component: General
Assignee: goodies-dev at xfce.org
Reporter: coteyr at coteyr.net

While "forcing" a break is useful, there are times when one needs to "get back
to work" ahead of the break time.
For example. I was using the applet normally. A server crashed, and Nagios went
off. After getting the page, it was time to look into the problem. However
because I was in the middle of a break, I could not resume work.
There should be some kind of override that lets you cancel a break and return
to using your computer. However that override should not be such that it
encourages users to just click it to go on with their work/play.
Again the goal in this feature request is to allow users to interrupt the break
cycle, in situations that are important enough, while at the same time keeping
the "YOU WILL BREAK NOW!!!" feeling.
Unfortunately, this can not be accomplished with "just a button". Perhaps, some
random math, or similar task, that allows one to access their own computer, but
forces a mind set change. For example, a button that says "Bypass" followed by
a question "144+64*2=?" and a proper answer is required to regain control.
Perhaps not the correct answer, but it would allow a user to regain control but
still force the mind set change that would encourage a user to continue with a
break cycle.
