          Priority: Medium
            Bug ID: 8734
          Assignee: frivoal at xfce.org
Summary: Please show a battery-not-present icon if no battery
                    is present in a laptop
        QA Contact: goodies-dev at xfce.org
          Severity: enhancement
    Classification: Panel Plugins
                OS: All
          Reporter: jasonspiro4 at gmail.com
          Hardware: All
            Status: NEW
           Version: git
         Component: General
           Product: Xfce4-battery-plugin

Thank you very much for your work on xfce.

Sometimes laptop users remove their battery while on AC power. For example,
they might do this to avoid wearing out the battery. Or to eliminate the risk
of a plugged-in-battery fire while the laptop's unattended.

But these users might accidentally disconnect their AC power, forgetting that
the battery's not present. I've done it.

If users do this, they might lose unsaved work.

Suggested enhancement:
- On laptops, if there's no battery present, please show a battery-not-present
icon at all times.

How can you draw this icon? It's up to you. Windows Vista uses an icon
showing a AC plug and cord running vertically next to a battery. The battery
has a red "X" covering it. I'm no artist but if you email me your old battery
icon maybe I can draw you these things.
