Are you sure you took svn trunk? The (bad) patch against 0.10.99.2 went after major revision into 0.10.99.3 AFAICT -- of course it did not go into 0.10.99.2; it would be very bad to apply patches to a fixed version without bumping the version number afterwards.

Please build 0.10.99.6 or svn version; it works fine on Ubuntu 8.10 with libsensors4 (>= 1:3.0.0-1) plus dev package. Possibly you still have the older headers installed as well?

If there are still errors, send output of configure, content of config.h. Also, did you clean before building, or even better make distclean?
