Eh?!  TT has nothing to do with x-gzpostscript.xml.new... it does run 
update-mime-database though, maybe it sees *.xml.new as invalid and 
tries to rename it?

I'm just installing soapbox now.  It'll be useful for make installing 
without actually installing...
