Ahh I see the problem now.. I had deleted the date string entirely (and it
initially did what I wanted, which is it removed the 2nd line from the panel
display). But when I restart xfce, rather than the second line staying hidden,
it shows "error" there too. And I didn't realize that the format in that text
entry is tied to the specified properties format..
I guess my only suggestion would be to show "error" for the 2nd line right away
if the user removes the entire format string, since that is what will appear on
a restart of the panel. I wouldn't have been confused if that had happened.
